Skin Care Routine with Pore Deep Cleansing

Deep Cleansing

The basic of healthy skin relies on hygiene. Although most women wear makeup, many of them are negligent in cleansing. This negligence causes breakouts, skin dryness and other skin problems. It is not enough to just know how important cleansing is. We should take an action to care for our skin applying right cleansing methods. The basic is to start off with an easy deep cleansing.

General cleansing removes makeup leftover, wastes and sebum, but it cannot eliminate accumulated keratin (dead skins).

Deep cleansing means to remove impurities deep inside your pores that cannot be removed through general cleansing. Our skin is consisted of several thin layers. Stratum Corneum, the most outer layer of our skin, lose its vitality due to keratin and makes our skin look dull. In addition, It draws moisture from our skin and accelerates skin aging and makes our skin rough. I would recommend you to do deep cleansing once every week.

Proper Cleansing Techniques

The first step for a proper pore deep cleansing is to choose right products for you. Depending on your skin type and makeup level, product choice should differ. If your skin is dry or your makeup level is high, cream type cleansing products are recommended for you. On the other hand, if your skin is oily or if you wear natural look makeup, liquid or tissue type cleansing products should be good. If your skin is very sensitive or acne prone, oil-free water type or tissue cleansing products are recommended. However, it is not mandatory to follow these recommendations. Based on your changing skin type, you should adjust your product choice.

Even when you do not wear makeup, if you were out and came back home, you should still cleanse your face before washing in order to remove wastes and to maintain clean skin. When massaging your face with cleansing product, do not massage aggressively or massage too long. This may allow makeup leftovers and wastes attached to cleansing material to enter your pores back again. 2-3 minutes should be sufficient with gentle massage. Don't forget to rub around back of your earlobes, chin areas, front earlobes and the edge of your forehead. When washing your face, apply a foam cleanser after making enough foams on your palm in order to minimize irritation to your skin and gently apply.

Pack

Functions of pack include the following:

  • deep cleansing (removes wastes, accumulated keratin)
  • by temporarily blocking from outer atmosphere, provides active ingredients to your skin
  • promotes blood circulation
  • nutritional packs, cleansing packs, moisturizing packs available
  • Wash off, peel off, tissue type packs available

Tips: If your skin is very dry, apply a skin toner and lotion before applying packs to protect you skin.

How to use Packs to maximize effects

Each pack type has different effects. To remove keratin and reduce sebum that makes your skin extra shiny, use cleansing packs. If you have excessive oil, peel off type is recommended. Wash off type has rich nutrition and less irritation so it's good for dry skin. Sheet type facial mask is recommend for all skin types as it contains high concentration of nutrition, moisture and provides cleansing, soothing, calming and hydrating effects to your skin. 2 times a week is the best for all skin types. Alternatively, homemade facial packs can improve your skin condition.

Tips: If your skin is very dry, apply enough toner and moisturizer before applying packs. Facial mask sheets can be directly applied without toner or moisturizer because they themselves function as intense moisturizer.

Massage

Massage promotes blood circulation and metabolism. If your skin lost vitality and looks dull, massage can recover your skin shortly after. After using a facial mask sheet, you can gently pat or press your face using remaining essence on your face. Do not vigorously rub your face as it can contribute to fine lines and wrinkles.
